Miami on Sunday gained a commitment from the son of one of the top players in program history.
Camdin Portis, whose father, Clinton, starred for the Hurricanes at running back from 1999 to 2001 before a 9-year NFL career with the Denver Broncos and the franchise now known as the Washington Commanders, announced his pledge to Miami on Sunday. The Charlotte product becomes the third commitment in the 2026 class for Mario Cristobal’s program, joining South Florida linebacker Jordan Campbell and Orlando quarterback Dereon Coleman.

Portis is considered one of the top cornerbacks in the country, ranking as the No. 25 player at that position nationally in the 2026 cycle and as the No. 16 overall player in North Carolina.
He currently holds 22 offers from programs such as Colorado, Florida, Indiana, Missouri, NC State, Ohio State, Ole Miss, Penn State, and Tennessee.
