Joe Moore Award fraud? Michigan offensive line catching heat for shoddy performance

The Joe Moore Award may want to save its gift receipt next season.
Michigan’s offensive line, which has won the award for the best offensive line in the country the last 2 seasons, was blasted Saturday night for its woeful performance in the Fiesta Bowl against TCU. The Wolverines were 0-for-3 in the red zone.
After a trick-play pass was stuffed in the first half, and the Wolverines also fumbled near the goal line, the second-half began with 4 plays at the 6-yard line or closer end with a field goal. Michigan cut its deficit to 21-9 with 9:29 left in the third quarter.
Here’s a sampling of the reaction:
I don’t know who votes for this Joe Moore Award but this is back to back years that Michigan oline has not played well in 1st round
Maybe they need some new voters…
Top oline can’t get it done at the goalline ??

Joe Moore Award must be CFB’s version of the Texas Monthly Bum Steer Awards.

Maybe they shouldn’t vote on Joe Moore Award, signifying the nation’s best offensive line, until after the season??

I could not care less whether that was a TD or not. Back to back Joe Moore award OL. 5 star RB and 5 star mobile QB. And didn’t get it done. Does not matter

I have some questions for the Joe Moore Award committee right about now.

If you don’t think handing the ball off to your RB inside the 3 isn’t going to cut it, then I think you should be forced to give the Joe Moore award back.

Take away their Joe Moore Award

You’d think the “best OL in America” could be trusted within the +5 to get you what you need.
You’d be wrong.
But then, so was the Joe Moore Award Committee.
Again. #FiestaBowl#CollegeFootballPlayoff

Michigan’s offensive line has been embarrassed the last two playoffs after winning the Joe Moore Award.
