Mississippi State WR announces entry into transfer portal after 1 season

Mississippi State wide receiver Marquez Dortch announced Sunday that he would be entering his name into the transfer portal after just 1 season in Starkville.
Dortch appeared in 1 game last season for the Bulldogs, making 1 reception for 1 yard against ETSU in November. Dortch had some buzz as a potential name to watch out for this coming season, but obviously he has a different plan in mind.
He wrote a goodbye to Mississippi State Sunday via social media.

Dortch was a solid prospect coming out of high school. He was labeled simply as an athlete by 247Sports, considered to be the No. 229 prospect in the Class of 2022 and the No. 6 player from the state of Mississippi.
Dortch’s speed alone will put him on the radar for interested parties.
