After a season in Starkville, Zavion Thomas will look at continuing his college football career elsewhere.

Thomas announced Thursday that he is entering the NCAA transfer portal after his freshman season at Mississippi State.

Thomas made 11 appearances for the Bulldogs in 2022. Having not used his redshirt, Thomas has 3 full season of eligibility remaining.

As a receiver, Thomas’ contributions were limited to 2 catches for 4 yards in the ETSU game. Thomas shined as a punt returner.

Thomas had 15 punt returns for 202 yards, including a 63-yard touchdown against Georgia. He also had 4 kick returns for 95 yards.

Thomas, from Woodmere, Louisiana, was a 4-star recruit on the 247Sports Composite. He chose MSU over 10 other scholarship offers, including Louisville, Memphis, Tulane, Louisiana and Liberty.
