Before he’s even coached a game for the Mississippi State Bulldogs, new coach Joe Moorhead already has to deal with a player arrest.
That’s because freshman WR Austin Williams was reportedly arrested early Sunday morning.
According to Mississippi State reporter Logan Lowery, Williams was arrested for public drunkenness at 12:36 a.m. on Sunday:

Williams was a 3-star recruit in Mississippi State’s 2017 class. He did not record any stats as a true freshman this fall.
More details about Williams’ arrest aren’t known at this time, and Mississippi State has not commented on the arrest as of Monday morning.
More information will likely become available shortly, though, as either the school or the Sheriff’s Office comments on Williams’ situation.
