Thunder and Lightning are officially home.
On Friday night, it was officially time to play ball at the new Dudy Noble Field (or the “New Dude” for short). The new stadium is not only the new hangout for Bulldogs baseball fans, but a permanent home for a pair of MSU legends. Prior to the season opener, a ceremony was held to unveil statues of Mississippi State greats and Will Clark and Rafael Palmeiro.
The ceremony was documented in this awesome video tweeted by Matt Wyatt:

Youngstown State looked like it might spoil Friday’s festivities leading 3-0 heading into the sixth inning, but the Bulldogs came to life, rallying for a 14-3 opening day win.
