Eli Drinkwitz and the Missouri Tigers have failed to build on momentum from a 5-5 finish in 2020.

Now, the Tigers have fallen to 3-4 on the season after a 35-14 home loss to Texas A&M on Saturday. That wasn’t a game many were expecting Mizzou to win, but the offensive problems, coupled with a horrible run defense, have people scratching their heads.

QB Connor Bazelak threw 2 costly first-half interceptions and didn’t throw for a touchdown in the game.

After the loss, Drinkwitz addressed the media. Here’s some of what he had to say:

On Bazelak’s job security:

On last year’s 5-5 record misleading fans about the rebuilding process:

About making costly mistakes and hurting themselves:

On conservative play-calling just before halftime:

The Tigers are off next Saturday, then face Vanderbilt. We’ll see if they can sort some things out during the off week.
