After serving as an offensive analyst at Michigan this season, former Mizzou QB Jimmie Dougherty is leaving Ann Arbor to take a job with new Oregon coach Willie Taggart’s staff.

According to MLive.com, Dougherty will coach the Ducks’ wide receivers.

Since serving as a Mizzou quarterback from 1997 to 2001, Dougherty’s coaching career has taken off. Since 2002, he’s made stops at Illinois Wesleyan, San Diego, San Jose State, Washington, Michigan and now Oregon.

He worked with Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh both this year and from 2004 to 2006 at San Diego.

As a wide receiver coach instead of an offensive analyst, Dougherty will be able to do on-field instruction and help with recruiting.
