After a promising freshman season, 2017 was supposed to be a breakout year for Mizzou WR Dimetrios Mason.
Instead, he struggled to start the season and was eventually dismissed from the team for disciplinary reasons late last month.
On Saturday morning, Mason tweeted that he has nothing but love for his old program and will now try to find a new path for himself:
My time at the zoo has been a good experience.I will miss my brothers a lot but we all have a path and this just isn’t the way for me to go.

Mason had 13 catches for 119 yards before his dismissal, and was also the Tigers’ primary kickoff returner.
In Mason’s absence, though, WR Richaud Floyd has stepped up in a big way, returning a punt for a touchdown last weekend and also catching a touchdown pass.
Hopefull Mason gets back on track and finds a new team, because he’s a talented player.
