Jacob Hester challenges Missouri to ‘follow up’ upset of Kansas State in Week 4
Jacob Hester understands how important it is to follow up a great win like Missouri’s upset of Kansas State.
The Tigers now face Memphis in Week 4. Hester spoke with Chris Doering on Pregaming The SEC on Friday.
Following up great wins is one step to building a program.
“Missouri. You had the biggest win so far for the SEC. You gotta go out there and have another performance and follow that up. That’s how you build a program. That’s how become not just like a little nice story. ‘Oh man, cool you beat Kansas State.’ That’s how you maybe be in the conversation of fighting, to get to the point where we’re talking about in the same vein of those teams trying to catch Georgia. You want to get into that conversation, you’ve got to take care of business in games like this.”
Missouri (-6.5) has a huge opportunity vs. Memphis to build on last week’s win.@JacobHester18 has a message for the Tigers:
“You have to follow that up. That’s how you build a program.”

The Tigers have an opportunity to prove that their win over Kansas State wasn’t a fluke on Saturday. It would go a long way for Missouri to handle Memphis in front of its home fans after a win like that.
If Missouri wins in Week 4, it would be undefeated heading into SEC play. Saturday’s game is set for a 7:30 p.m. ET kickoff on ESPNU.
