Missouri is adding a walk-on with a familiar name to its 2023 recruiting class.
On Friday night, defensive lineman Tyson Ellison announced his commitment to the Tigers as a PWO. Ellison is the son of Atiyyah Ellison, who currently serves as Missouri’s director of player development. Atiyyah also played for the Tigers in the early 2000’s and was a 2-time All-Big 12 selection.

Atiyyah Ellison put up big numbers during his time at Mizzou. He recorded 132 total tackles and 6.5 sacks across the 2003 and 2004 seasons with the Tigers.
He was a 1st team All-Big selection as a senior in ’04 and was a 3rd round pick in the 2005 NFL Draft. He’s been a staffer at Missouri since July of 2021.
Tyson Ellison attends Boonville High School in Boonville, Missouri. He’s listed at 6-foot-2, 205 pounds.
