Trent Burns announced Tuesday afternoon that he will commit to his future college program on Friday.
Burns stands at 7-3, 210 pounds and has been a Mizzou target for some time now. Burns is on the leaner side and has a ways to go before facing Power 6 competition but can stretch the floor behind the arc and in the midrange.
He announced a top 4 of Mizzou, Xavier, Rice and Tulsa in early September. For now, it’s thought to be between the Tigers and his hometown school, Rice.

Despite being undersized, Burns is a fairly strong prospect. He is rated as the No. 79 overall prospect in the Class of 2024, as well as the No. 13 center and No. 4 player out of the Lone Star State.
Dennis Gates’ crew is looking great so far in the Class of 2024. The Tigers have the No. 1 class in the country with commitments from a quartet of 4-star prospects: Center Peyton Marshall, small forward Annor Boateng, small forward Marcus Allen and PG T.O. Barrett.
