Tyler Badie led the SEC in rushing yards this season by more than 300 over the No. 2 rusher. He finished with a Mizzou-record 1,604 yards this regular season, and still has a bowl game to add to his numbers.

Now, he’s already started to be rewarded for his big-time 2021 campaign. And, to make things even sweeter for him, this latest award also honors his academics.

As you can see below, Badie won the SEC’s Scholar-Athlete of the Year award this year, becoming the first Mizzou player to win the honor:

Badie graduated from Mizzou this year and his GPA is a robust 3.83:

Badie also tied Alabama’s Brian Robinson Jr. with 14 rushing touchdowns. But, where Badie separated himself was as a receiver, as he hauled in 54 passes for 330 yards and 4 additional scores.
