The 2018 NCAA Tournament is still going on, but the final two SEC squads — Kentucky and Texas A&M — both lost on Thursday night.
Therefore, the conference is looking ahead to the 2019 season, which should be another great one for SEC teams.
Analyst Ken Pomeroy tweeted out his projected top-10 list of teams for the 2019 season, and Auburn leads all SEC teams at No. 4. Kentucky slides in right behind the Tigers at No. 5:
Here's my computer's top 10 for 2019 assuming everyone in @DraftExpress top 40 leaves: 1) Kansas, 2) Duke, 3) Villanova, 4) Auburn, 5) Kentucky, 6) North Carolina, 7) Nevada, 8) West Virginia, 9) Gonzaga, 10) Virginia, 11) Maryland.

Both teams have players who will have interesting NBA decisions in their futures, but Pomeroy has factored that into his rankings.
Kentucky is used to being ranked among the big boys, but for Auburn, being on a list with Kansas, Duke and Villanova, among others, is a big deal.
