At the moment, the Georgia Bulldogs lead the SEC East in ESPN’s Football Power Index rankings at No. 14.
They sit third in the SEC, behind No. 1 Alabama and No. 13 Auburn.
ESPN’s rankings don’t foresee the Bulldogs having much trouble cruising through the SEC East, as only one division foe is among UGA’s toughest three remaining opponents, as you can see here:
- Auburn — No. 13
- Florida — No. 27
- Georgia Tech — No. 31
Obviously, if you want to extrapolate the Bulldogs’ current trajectory out a little bit, an SEC East title would earn them a date with (in all likelihood) Alabama, which would be their toughest game.
This weekend’s game at Tennessee just missed the cut, as the Vols are currently No. 33 on ESPN’s list.
The easiest remaining game on Georgia’s schedule? That would be a home game against Mizzou, as the Tigers currently find themselves at No. 85.
