Luther Burden is one of the top names to watch in the current recruiting class. Now he has focused on his 3 finalists after a decommitment from Oklahoma exactly a month ago.
He has a reported 39 offers, but has narrowed his list to Missouri, Alabama and Georgia. He is listed at 6-foot-2 and 194 pounds.
While Mizzou is going up against some recruiting heavyweights, the local product from East St. Louis, Illinois would be a huge boost for Eli Drinkwitz’ program. If he were to choose Mizzou, Burden would be the second-highest-ranked recruit in the history of the program, behind only class of 2012 wide receiver Dorial Green-Beckham, who was later dismissed by the team.
Burden is the No. 6 overall player in the 2022 class, the No. 2 wide receiver and the No. 1 player from the state of Illinois, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings.
Burden is expected to announce his decision on Oct. 20.
