The 2018 bowl season is winding down, but there are still some of the biggest matchups of the year to be played.
From the Sugar Bowl between Georgia and Texas to the Fiesta Bowl between LSU and UCF to the National Championship Game between Alabama and Clemson, SEC teams feature prominently in the remaining action.
On Sunday, ESPN updated its FPI rankings, and an impressive eight SEC squads landed in the top 25. As you can see below, Alabama leads the way in the No. 1 spot:
- No. 1 — Alabama
- No. 3 — Georgia
- No. 9 — Mississippi State
- No. 11 — Florida
- No. 12 — Mizzou
- No. 13 — Auburn
- No. 16 — LSU
- No. 18 — Texas A&M
If Alabama thumps Clemson in the title game and Georgia dominates Texas in the Sugar Bowl, the SEC could finish with the top-two FPI teams when all is said and done.
Whatever happens over the next few days, it should be a lot of fun.
