Arkansas RB Rakeem Boyd announces he’ll be wearing special jersey number in 2018

Rakeem Boyd is a JUCO player who will make his Arkansas debut, and his jersey number choice will make him look quite familiar to Razorback fans.
That’s because he’ll be wearing the same number that Arkansas legend Darren McFadden wore back when he was busy becoming one of the best runners in SEC history.
As you can see in the tweet below, Boyd announced he’d be sporting the No. 5 jersey when he makes his debut this fall:
Will be wearing number #5 next year #WPS

Obviously, that’s a big jersey to live up to, but Boyd will try his best, and the Razorbacks can certainly use his help.
The Hogs return valuable players like Devwah Whaley, Chase Hayden and others, but Boyd could still find some playing time this fall under new coach Chad Morris.
