Former Ole Miss WR Damore’ea Stringfellow went undrafted in the 2017 NFL Draft, spending last fall with the Miami Dolphins and New York Jets as a practice squad player.

This year, though, he hopes for a bigger role, and he took a big step toward that goal on Monday.

After participating in the Seattle Seahawks’ rookie minicamp, Stringfellow impressed the coaches and ended up landing a deal, per TheNewsTribune.com:

Damore’ea Stringfellow, the former Washington Husky and Mississippi transfer, signed with the Seahawks on Monday. That was after he was perhaps the most impressive of the 46 tryout players the team had in this past weekend for their three-day rookie minicamp.

Stringfellow could get a lot of work this summer as the Seahawks try to decide what to do with him.

If he catches on with the team, he could earn some playing time, as the Seahawks don’t have a very deep receiving corps.
