Dan Patrick explains why Urban Meyer’s past could potentially keep him from getting USC job

The USC Trojans still have a coach, and his name is Clay Helton. However, many think he’s on the hot seat, and that could be true after a road loss at BYU in Week 3.

A big name many speculate about in Los Angeles is former Florida and USC coach Urban Meyer, who is currently working as a FOX analyst (alongside USC legends Reggie Bush and Matt Leinart, interestingly enough).

But, according to radio host Dan Patrick, Meyer’s past involving a coverup of spousal abuse (regarding allegations about former assistant Zach Smith) and then the ensuing lies Meyer told, could cause USC to pass on him:

USC recently hired a new president in Carol Folt, and Patrick speculates that it would be hard for Folt to overlook Meyer’s sketchy history.

However, Patrick and his crew all believe Meyer will be coaching again next season, they just don’t know where.
