Derek Stingley Jr. is fully recovered from a foot injury just in time for LSU’s Pro Day this week ahead of the NFL Draft.
Stingley, expected to be one of the first cornerbacks taken in the draft, is set to do all the drills on Wednesday at LSU’s Pro Day, as he’s fully recovered from a Lisfranc injury. Dr. Robert Anderson earlier cleared him, and Stingley has done well in recent workouts, Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network reported.
Stingley did not work out at the NFL Scouting Combine, so this will be the first time that NFL scouts get an extended look at the cornerback since the injury.
Stingely played injust 3 games last season because of the injury, but he was a consensus All-American in 2019 and an AP and Coaches first-team All-SEC selection in 2020.

Stingley started all 25 games in which he appeared during his LSU career, and LSU went 20-5 in those games, including a 15-0 record his true freshman season in 2019. Stingley is a two-time first team All-SEC selection at cornerback.
