ESPN releases 2017-18 bowl projections ahead of Week 1

As the 2017 season gets under way, every SEC team other than Ole Miss is fighting to become eligible for a postseason bowl game.

On Friday, ESPN analysts David M. Hale and Kyle Bonagura released their preseason bowl projections, which can be found here.

Here’s what the two analysts had to say about the 13 bowl-eligible SEC squads:

Alabama:

  • Hale: Rose Bowl vs. USC, National Championship vs. Florida State
  • Bonagura: Sugar Bowl vs. Ohio State, National Championship vs. USC

Arkansas:

  • Hale: Birmingham Bowl vs. Memphis
  • Bonagura: None

Auburn:

  • Hale: Peach Bowl vs. USF
  • Bonagura: Citrus Bowl vs. Miami

Florida:

  • Hale: Citrus Bowl vs. Notre Dame
  • Bonagura: TaxSlayer Bowl vs. Louisville

Georgia:

  • Hale: Outback Bowl vs. Michigan
  • Bonagura: Peach Bowl vs. USF

Kentucky:

  • Hale: Music City Bowl vs. Nebraska
  • Bonagura: Independence Bowl vs. Syracuse

LSU:

  • Hale: TaxSlayer Bowl vs. NC State
  • Bonagura: Outback Bowl vs. Wisconsin

Mississippi State:

  • Hale: Texas Bowl vs. TCU
  • Bonagura: Liberty Bowl vs. Baylor

Missouri:

  • Hale: None
  • Bonagura: Birmingham Bowl vs. Memphis

South Carolina:

  • Hale: Independence Bowl vs. Georgia Tech
  • Bonagura: Music City Bowl vs. Nebraska

Tennessee:

  • Hale: Belk Bowl vs. Duke
  • Bonagura: Belk Bowl vs. Georgia Tech

Texas A&M:

  • Hale: Liberty Bowl vs. West Virginia
  • Bonagura: Texas Bowl vs. Kansas State

Vanderbilt:

  • Hale: None
