Former Alabama DB Roman Harper spends the day as a substitute teacher

With the New Orleans Saints on their bye week this weekend, most players are probably relaxing before getting back into the grind of the NFL season.

Former Alabama DB Roman Harper spent a day of his bye week doing something different. The Saints safety spent Wednesday as a substitute teacher at a Louisiana high school:

Up early this morning and ready for my first day as a substitute teacher. I wonder what school will have Mr Harper as their sub today?! Stay tuned…. #WhoDat

According to AL.com, Harper taught classes in several subjects, including algebra and English, and also served his students pizza for lunch.

Harper subbed at Belle Chasse High School, southeast of New Orleans.
