The intense nature of any good college football rivalry is absolutely riveting.
For any player thrust into a battle of two hated foes, it can be a bit overwhelming. Georgia signal-caller Jacob Eason will get his first taste of this rivalry action — as the Bulldogs square off versus the Florida Gators this Saturday in Jacksonville.
The Bulldogs haven’t performed exceptionally well over the last 25 years versus the Gators:

The last quarterback for Georgia to beat Florida in his first attempt was Greg Talley back in 1989 — before Eason (or anyone on the Georgia roster) was even born.
In his inaugural campaign, Eason’s been solid — throwing for 1,366 yards and nine touchdowns to only five interceptions. Against a very hungry and aggressive Gators’ defense, he’ll need to take care of the football.
Eason will also need to keep his emotions in check. This contest pits two fan bases versus one another with considerable vitriol. A crystalline sea of red, orange, and blue figures to encapsulate EverBank Field. As such, the energy will likely be electric.
