Has Jim McElwain coached his last game at Florida? Fans sure hope so
By Keith Farner

The game in Jacksonville turned ugly quickly on Saturday as Georgia led 21-0 after the first quarter and cruised from there. The Florida offense struggled to get much traction in the 42-7 loss as quarterback Feleipe Franks was under consistent pressure and was 7-for-19 for 30 yards until he was replaced by Malik Zaire.
It wasn’t until a late touchdown by Florida that the Gators avoided shutout in this game as the last one was a 44-0 loss in 1982 to Georgia when Herschel Walker played for the Bulldogs.
There was a report that came out late in the game that Florida administrators weighed whether to fire coach Jim McElwain because of comments made earlier in the week.
Given those developments, there was plenty to react to on social media.

I don't know why UF fans are mad at Jim McElwain. Other than the 25 passing yards and 0 points at halftime in a huge rivalry game.

#Gators need to part ways with McElwain as soon as possible.
Play 1 thing, but they can't even trust him not to tarnish brand behind mic.

I enjoy watching Florida Gator fans crying in the stands. I apologize for my pettiness.
