Kadyn Proctor, a starting offensive tackle for Alabama, is considered doubtful for Alabama’s Week 2 tilt against South Florida, according to a report from ESPN’s Pete Thamel.
Proctor missed last week’s season opener against Western Kentucky after suffering a left shoulder injury in warmups. The sophomore earned the starting job at left tackle last season and earned All-SEC Freshman honors for his lockdown play at the position.

Expect Elijah Pritchett to start at tackle should Proctor miss Saturday’s game as is expected. Pritchett, also a sophomore, started last weekend against the Hilltoppers.
Alabama is Alabama, but USF is a clear step up in talent from Western Kentucky last weekend. The Bulls lean on their offense, coached by former Tennessee offensive coordinator Alex Golesh. Their head coach led the 2022 Vols offense to record-breaking numbers alongside head coach Josh Heupel and star QB Hendon Hooker.
In theory, USF should be a better team on defense compared to last season. The Bulls dispatched Bethune-Cookman 48-3 in Week 1, but comparing Bethune’s offense to Alabama’s is like comparing a puddle to Lake Michigan. We’ll see if the Bulls can put any pressure on Pritchett and QB Jalen Milroe.
Head coach Kalen DeBoer and the Crimson Tide look to improve to 2-0 Saturday at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN.
