The Georgia Bulldogs have undergone several injuries to their defensive line this spring, and they suffered another one on Saturday.

According to coach Kirby Smart, redshirt junior DL Justin Young went down with a knee sprain.

However, Smart is confident Young can come back before the spring session is over, saying he expects him back soon:

“Justin Young has a mild knee sprain, but we think he’ll be back before spring is over. He should be fine.”

Young only appeared in one game last year, recording one tackle, but it was for a loss. However, with several players leaving the Georgia defense this offseason, Young can step into a bigger role this fall.

He needs all the reps he can get to impress coaches though, so hopefully he’ll be able to return to the field soon.
