One of the most exciting players in Georgia’s 2019 signing class is ILB Nakobe Dean, who was a 5-star prospect coming out of Mississippi.
However, when the Bulldogs took the field for a scrimmage on Saturday, Dean wasn’t on the field in action.
After the practice, coach Kirby Smart provided an update, saying Dean is dealing with an injury, but it doesn’t seem to be serious:
ILB Nakobe Dean didn't scrimmage due to an injury, but Smart indicates he's going to be fine. Was out on field some.

Nakobe Dean is "banged up" per Kirby Smart and didn't scrimmage today, but was able to do some stuff on the side.

Dean has been making a great first impression in Athens and could certainly get plenty of playing time for the Dawgs this fall.
This is a minor setback, but it doesn’t sound like Smart is too worried about the health of the young inside linebacker.
