Labaron Philon was committed to Bruce Pearl and Auburn basketball for just over 2 months before stepping back and decommitting in April.

After a few months of weighing his options, Philion finally announced his commitment on Monday. The former Tigers commit will be heading to Lawrence, Kansas to play for Bill Self and the Jayhawks.

Philon hails from Link Academy in Branson, Missouri, a well-known high school preps powerhouse. The 6-4 point guard is also one of the top PG prospects in the country, ranking No. 3 per 247Sports’ composite rankings.

Auburn currently has 1 pledge in the Class of 2024 cycle, 4-star point guard Tashaad Pettiford, who committed to the Tigers 2 days before Philon originally committed to Auburn back in early February.
