NFL Combine: Every SEC QB’s 40-yard dash time from Indianapolis
By Adam Spencer
Published:
The SEC sent five quarterbacks to the NFL Combine in Indianapolis this week, and so far, they’re all performing well.
On Saturday, they took the field for the 40-yard dash drill — important, but not the most-important drill for quarterbacks.
Still, all five ran in the event, with Nick Fitzgerald running the fastest time. Here’s a look at how all five quarterbacks fared:
- Nick Fitzgerald, Mississippi State — 4.64
- Drew Lock, Mizzou — 4.69
- Jordan Ta’amu, Ole Miss — 4.78
- Jarrett Stidham, Auburn — 4.82u
- Kyle Shurmur, Vanderbilt — 4.92u
Stidham and Shurmur’s times are unofficial at the moment, so we’ll update the info if that changes.
For now, though, this is a good look at how fast each of the five SEC quarterbacks is. The fastest quarterback time so far was from Penn State’s Trace McSorley, who ran a 4.57.
