The Senior Bowl is being played on Saturday, and the North team will start out with QB Drew Lock under center.
The former Mizzou star has earned the right to start for this team by having a great week of practice, improving his 2019 NFL Draft stock dramatically.
In fact, according to Bleacher Report scout Matt Miller, Lock could very well be the top quarterback in the class after his strong showing in Mobile:
Missouri quarterback Drew Lock made money during Senior Bowl week. Everyone knew he’d come in with a big arm and good athleticism, but his accuracy and mechanics in practices were better than expected. His film was littered with off-platform throws and lazy footwork, but quarterback coach Jordan Palmer has done impressive work ironing out Lock’s issues and giving him the strong foundation in his mechanics to be a top-tier passer.
Lock has one of the strongest arms in the class, and as he continues to mature, he’ll improve his decision-making even more.
We’ll see where he goes in April’s draft, but if he continues this positive momentum through the NFL Combine, he could end up being a top-10 pick.
