Ole Miss deletes compliance-themed tweet trolling Hugh Freeze
By Keith Farner
Published:
Ole Miss had some tweets teed up to post as soon as the Rebels finished off their 27-14 win over Liberty and former Ole Miss coach Hugh Freeze.
One of them was a similar tweet as one Freeze posted when he was the Ole Miss coach and the program was under investigation.
“If you have complaints about this result, send it to lufootball@liberty.edu. If not, please do not slander these young men or insult their family.
Of course, Freeze resigned in the summer of 2017 in the middle of a scandal in which school officials discovered a “pattern of personal misconduct” starting with a call to an escort service from a university-issued cellphone. He was 39-25 with 4 bowl game appearances.
Jerion Ealy scored twice, and had 115 rushing yards on just 10 carries in the win. Matt Corral passed for 324 yards on 20-for-27 passing. Dannis Jackson picked up 6 catches for 126 yards and a score.
