South Carolina coach Will Muschamp to attend game of top 2018 recruit

As Will Muschamp and the South Carolina Gamecocks prepare to host UMass on Saturday, the first-year coach will take some time out on Thursday to pay a recruit a visit.
DE Xavier Thomas, the No. 2 overall recruit in the class of 2018, tweeted on Tuesday that Muschamp would be at his game on Thursday:
Florida State defensive line coach Brad Lawing along with USC's head coach Will Muschamp will be at my game this Thursday against St James!

Thomas, a South Carolina native, is understandably being courted by a number of top college programs, including Alabama, Clemson, Florida State and Georgia.
According to 247Sports, the 6-foot-3, 249-pound lineman is the No. 1 strong-side defensive end in the class of 2018 and the No. 1 prospect from the state of South Carolina.
Getting some face time with the Gamecocks’ head coach will likely help improve Thomas’s view of South Carolina.
