Tennessee, Georgia fans react to report that Jim Chaney is becoming Vols’ new OC

On Tuesday night, it was reported that Georgia OC Jim Chaney was leaving Athens to take the same position at Tennessee.
Chaney was the Vols’ OC from 2009 to 2012, and he even served as the team’s interim coach at the end of the 2012 season.
The hire concluded a long search from the Vols, who don’t seem to be able to do anything quickly when it comes to football these days. This was a big hire for coach Jeremy Pruitt, though — not only does it fill a need on the Vols’ staff and hurts an SEC East rival.
As you can see below, both fanbases were quick to jump on Twitter to spin the news in favor of their teams:
Nice double header win for the Vols! Basketball beats Missouri and Football hires Jim Chaney! #winning

Jeremy Pruitt hiring Jim Chaney is such a blah hire. Chaney has been mediocre at best much of his career. Only had great results with great talent (Kirby/UGA). I guess it’s decent, for being 6-weeks into search? But then again, the “OC is overrated.” #VOLS

Georgia offense ranked 87th nationally in total offense in Jim Chaney's first season. The Bulldogs end 2018 ranked 18th.
The #Vols ended 2018 ranked 121st in total offense.— Jordan Crammer (@JordanCrammer) January 9, 2019
Jim Chaney is fine. He’s fine. He’s perfect if you want your offense to be uncreative and yet maddening. https://t.co/Xn9LwDXApL

Now Tennessee might be able to stay within 3 touchdowns against us with this Jim Chaney hiring? #GoDawgs
