Former Tennessee WR Josh Palmer didn’t have a huge night in terms of yardage, but he made good on the lone catch on Sunday night for the Chargers against the 49ers.
With 5 minutes remaining in the second quarter, Palmer found his first touchdown catch of his NFL career in the back of the endzone on a 3-yard pass from Chargers QB Easton Stick.
Palmer has had a solid preseason for Los Angeles. In the Chargers’ first preseason game against the Rams, Palmer had 6 catches for 36 yards, which led the team in receiving.
The Chargers took Palmer in the third round of the NFL Draft after he spent 4 years at Tennessee. The wide receiver played 47 games for the Vols, and in 2020, he caught 33 passes for 475 yards with 4 touchdowns.
