Top 5 2021 recruit Paolo Banchero has 2 SEC programs in his final 6 schools

The 2020 college basketball recruiting cycle is in full swing, but some top 2021 recruits are also trimming down their lists of top schools.
On Wednesday, Paolo Banchero — the No. 4 overall player in the 2021 class — told 247Sports that he is down to his top 6 schools.
Per the report, Banchero is considering 2 SEC programs — Kentucky and Tennessee — along with Duke, Gonzaga, Washington and Arizona:
“These are the main 6 that I want to move forward with and can see myself at any 6 of these schools,” Banchero told 247Sports. “I just wanted to focus in on these 6 and not waste the other schools’ times. They got other players to recruit and use resources on so wanted to cut down to these 6.”
Per the 247Sports composite rankings, Banchero is the No. 1 power forward in the class of 2021 and the No. 1 overall recruit from the state of Washington.
Will he go to college or will he follow in the footsteps of some other recent top recruits and head to the NBA G League? We’ll find out over the next few months.
