Two SEC teams own the two longest winning streaks in college football right now

Anyone who pays attention to college football probably knows that Alabama, sitting atop the AP Poll at No. 1, has the longest active winning streak in college football.
Dating back to last season, the Crimson Tide have won 17 straight games.
But, sitting at No. 2 on that list is Tennessee, which may come as more of a surprise.
Though the Vols have struggled this season, they’re still undefeated dating back to Week 8 of last season when they lost to, you guessed it, Alabama:
Most Consecutive Wins – Active FBS Streaks
Alabama 17
Tennessee 11
Houston 8
Washington 8— ESPNU (@ESPNU) October 2, 2016
While Alabama has extended its streak in a very business-like fashion in 2016, the Vols have, well, needed some dramatic finishes to push their streak to 11.
Houston and Washington come in tied for third, with eight-straight victories each.
If Tennessee can win at Texas A&M next weekend (no easy task) and Alabama can take care of business at Arkansas (also not easy), it would set up a showdown of unbeaten teams in Knoxville on Saturday, Oct. 15, when the Crimson Tide travel to Neyland Stadium.
