USA TODAY updates bowl projections for last time before matchups are announced

We’re only hours away from finding out where each SEC team will play this bowl season, but we do know Alabama will be in the College Football Playoff.

The Tide won a thrilling SEC title game on Saturday, coming from behind to beat Georgia to remain undefeated on the season.

Where will the other 10 bowl-eligible SEC teams go, though? USA TODAY’s Erick Smith updated his projections one last time.

Here’s where he thinks the teams will be playing.

Alabama

  • Orange Bowl (CFP) vs. Oklahoma

Auburn

  • Gator Bowl vs. Michigan State

Florida

  • Peach Bowl vs. Michigan

Georgia

  • Sugar Bowl vs. Texas

Kentucky

  • Citrus Bowl vs. Penn State

LSU

  • Fiesta Bowl vs. UCF

Mississippi State

  • Music City Bowl vs. Miami

Missouri

  • Liberty Bowl vs. Oklahoma State

South Carolina

  • Belk Bowl vs. Virginia

Texas A&M

  • Outback Bowl vs. Iowa
