Former Georgia WR Javon Wims was a seventh-round pick by the Chicago Bears in the 2018 NFL Draft, but he hasn’t played like it.
He got off to a hot start in the Hall of Fame preseason game, catching seven passes for 89 yards to lead the Bears against the Baltimore Ravens. Following a couple of quieter performances since then, Wims again looked like a star on Saturday afternoon.
Playing against the Kansas City Chiefs, Wims caught a long pass from former Mizzou QB Chase Daniel in the second quarter, including this 53-yard gain:

Wims finished the drive off with a big play, too, making a toe-tapping catch in the end zone for his first NFL touchdown:

The Bears have built up a 21-10 lead midway through the second quarter, and Wims’ big performance will make it hard for Chicago to keep him off the 53-man roster ahead of the regular season.
