Davante Adams has been charged with misdemeanor assault related to the post-game incident with a photographer on Monday night following the Las Vegas Raiders’ loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.
According to a copy of the report, Adams’ push of Ryan Zebley was an “intentional, overt act” when Adams pushed Zebley to the ground “causing whiplash” and headache with possible minor concussion.
Adams, the Raiders’ star receiver, apologized to reporters, and on social media, after the game.
“Before I answer anything else, I want to apologize to the guy — some guy running off the field,” Adams told reporters, per NBC Sports. “When he ran, he jumped in front of me coming off the field and I bumped into him and kind of pushed him and I think he ended up on the ground. So, I want to say sorry to him for that because that was just frustration mixed with him literally just running in front of me. Shouldn’t have responded that way, but that’s how I initially responded, so, want to apologize for that.”
