Notre Dame turned to the Hangover movie to reveal its latest version of the Shamrock Series uniform, which is set to be worn on Oct. 8 when the Fighting Irish take on BYU at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.

The reveal opens with a scene in a desert with Notre Dame coach Marcus Freeman, tight end Michael Mayer and edge rusher Isaiah Foskey inspired by the 2009 film. Irish greats Mike Golic Sr. and Mike Golic Jr. made appearances as well, as the group spoofed the desert scene.

The uniforms are all white with gold trim of the Golden Dome and an art-deco Notre Dame shamrock logo on the sleeve. “Notre Dame” is across the front, and the gold numbers are outlined in black.

The players and Freeman begin a version of “We’re the three best friends than anyone could have1,” before the coach cuts that off.

“I’m not your best friend; I’m your head coach,” Freeman said after the group secures the new ‘Icy White’ jersey, which caused Foskey and Mayer to embrace and sing “We’re the two best friends that anyone could have.”

These new uniforms should get plenty of reaction leading up to, and during, the game.
