The Coral Gables Regional was supposed to get rolling on Friday. Unfortunately, tropical storm Alex had other plans, dumping rain across Florida that stretched into Saturday.
After scrapping Friday’s schedule, the regional was supposed to at 12 pm ET, but even that game was pushed back. Now, things are finally getting underway in Coral Gables at 5:30 pm ET between host and 6-seed Miami (Fl) and Canisius.

Ole Miss baseball is also in the regional and will get play started Saturday night. The Rebels will be in action against Arizona approximately 55 minutes after the conclusion of Game 1.
It will be interesting to see how things look and if the rest of the regional goes off without any more delays now that play is starting. Hopefully Ole Miss is able to come out hot after having to wait to begin postseason action.
