It’s not been officially announced yet, but Ole Miss offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Jeff Lebby is reportedly on his way to Oklahoma to fill the same position on Brent Venables’ initial staff. Lebby helped oversee the development of Matt Corral and will be tasked with doing the same with whoever is ultimately behind center in Norman.

Lebby and Venables will be reunited for the first time since both men were on Bob Stoops’ staff together in Oklahoma, Lebby as a student assistant from 2002-2006 and Venables as co-defensive coordinator from 1999-2003.

Ahead of his reported departure, Lebby posted a message to his Twitter account on Wednesday, which you can view below.

Under Lebby, the Rebels were 4th in FBS in total offense, while Corral’s 3,339 passing yards were 15th in FBS. Despite receiving a contract extension following the 2020 season, it looks like Lebby’s time in Oxford will come to a close.
