Ole Miss could be losing another assistant coach in the coming days, but this one would not be a surprise.
Defensive line coach Chris Kiffin is being targeted by his brother, Lane Kiffin, to become the next defensive coordinator at Florida Atlantic, according to a report from DJournal.com.
If Kiffin makes the move, it would be the fourth position opening on the Ole Miss staff this offseason, with both coordinator positions open, along with an off-field coaching position.
He was tabbed the 2013 National Recruiter of the Year by Scout.com after helping Ole Miss land a top-five signing class, also being recognized as one of the nation’s top 50 recruiters by 247Sports.
Kiffin’s unit was a big part in helping the Rebels finish within the top 10 in tackles for loss last season and No. 1 in scoring defense during 2014.
