Shea Patterson had an unfortunate stumble on Sunday during a USFL game between Houston and Michigan.
Patterson, the former Ole Miss and Michigan quarterback, struggled on a snap on second-and-goal where he faked a handoff and stumbled to the turf. The Gamblers then scooped up the ball and scored on a play that went nearly the length of the field.
Houston prevailed in the game, 17-12, after Patterson’s last-second pass for La’Michael Pettway was incomplete as Pettway was out of town. There was also an illegal chop block on the play.
