Tre Harris had quite the Ole Miss debut Saturday afternoon.

The former Louisiana Tech standout hauled in 4 touchdowns, 3 of which came in the first 10 minutes of the game. After snagging No. 4, Harris officially broke the Ole Miss record for the most receiving touchdowns in a single game.

A multitude of Ole Miss receivers held the previous record (3), including Elijah Moore and TE Michael Trigg.

On Monday, Harris joined the Paul Finebaum Show to discuss why he chose Ole Miss out of the transfer portal. In short, his answer was the one and only Lane Kiffin.

Harris said that Kiffin promised he would be a 1st-round caliber receiver this season, and though there’s a long way to go, Saturday afternoon was quite the start on that mission. Check out more of what Harris had to say about choosing Kiffin and Ole Miss below:

Ole Miss faces off against a step up in production this Saturday. The Rebels travel to southern Louisiana to take on Tulane in a top 25 matchup.

The Green Wave may not be Power 5, but don’t let that fool you as it did USC last season in the Cotton Bowl. Tulane QB Michael Pratt is the real deal and will certainly test Ole Miss’ defense on Saturday.

The game is set to kick off at 3:30 ET on ESPN2.
