WATCH: Ole Miss QB Shea Patterson takes huge hit from Auburn defender

It’s been a long day for the Ole Miss Rebels, as they trail the Auburn Tigers 35-3 through the first half of Saturday’s game.
However, it was also a painful first half for Ole Miss QB Shea Patterson, who took a huge hit from an Auburn defender along the sideline.
As you can see in the video below, the referees may have missed a targeting penalty on this vicious hit:

Luckily for the Rebels, Patterson was OK and the refs also threw a flag for a personal foul penalty.
Still, it possibly should have ended the Auburn defender’s game, but the refs decided to just enforce the personal foul penalty.
Patterson will have to try to avoid big hits like that in the second half, since this game looks like it’s pretty much a lost cause.
