Alabama, Georgia among 5 teams with best odds to make College Football Playoff

After making it to the College Football Playoff last season, both Alabama and Georgia are among the favorites to do it again in 2018.
In fact, in odds updated after the release of Monday’s first AP Poll of the season, Alabama and Georgia are among the five teams with the best odds to make a CFP run.
As you can see below, Alabama is a -290 favorite to make it to the final four, while Georgia’s odds stand at a very-respectable +180:

Alabama checked in at No. 1 in the AP Poll, while Georgia is close behind at No. 3 (with Clemson at No. 2).
It’s quite impressive that Alabama and Clemson are both more likely to make the Playoff than miss it, which speaks to their dominance over the years. Georgia could soon join those ranks with another big year in 2018.
