Earlham, a Division III school in Richmond, Ind., lost on Saturday. It’s certainly nothing new for the program.

The Quakers fell to Franklin, 64-20, for their 51st consecutive loss. That losing streak broke the all-time Division III record. The previous record of 50 was set by Macalester College (Minn.) from 1974-80.

Earlham hasn’t won a game since Oct. 26, 2013.

Across all levels of college football, the all-time record for a losing streak is 80 games, which was set by Prairie View A&M from 1989-98.

After its bye week, Earlham may have its best chance to end its record losing streak this season. The Quakers play Defiance, which is 0-7 and has lost 10 straight, on Nov. 3.

But if Earlham continues to lose, this will certainly be a streak to keep an eye on until it comes to an end.
