Could Deion Sanders lure Last Chance U back to the gridiron? An onslaught of fans weigh in

One of the biggest stories in college football last week was the hiring of Deion Sanders by Jackson State. Now the popular Netflix show “Last Chance U” has raised the possibility that “Coach Prime” as he is known now, could play a featured role on a possible Season 6 of the show.
If the series goes back to football, it would be a shift from its plans as it announced that the show would introduce a basketball team to a 2021 release.
Netflix has given a green light to new series Last Chance U: Basketball for premiere in 2021, Deadline reported. The new series will document the East Los Angeles Community College basketball team during their 2019-2020 season.
Fans reacted to the possibility on Twitter, as one noted that a “Hard Knocks” style documentary would fit better because Jackson State is an established program, and not a junior college.
Would you watch Last Chance U if Season 6 featured @DeionSanders in his first year at Jackson State?

Anyone would watch footage of JSU next season, but Last Chance U ain’t it homie. Nothing about Jackson State or any HBCU correlates to Last Chance U. Stay in that JUCO lane.

Not “Last Chance”, more like Hard Knocks or just a documentary on an HBCU program would be must-see TV. I love following @HBCUGameday football because it’s hard-core without all the perks of FBS. They go all out for the love of the game. Seeing Prime’s impact will be intriguing.

Yeah, but HBCU is by no means a “Last Chance”. Those are QUALITY universities that provide fantastic opportunities as FIRST chances.

JSU is hardly the “last chance” for many players unless they’re just going to use Prime Time and the HBCU JSU as a stepping stone to something bigger and better.
